For the rare few of us who take the risk of reading self-published novels there is always a fear that you might pick up a novel you hate, and a hope that you pick up a novel that you love. Israel Del Rio's Honeycomb is in that latter group.

This book begins with a really interesting concept. Due to his actions from a past life, the un-named protagonist is awarded the chance to preview snippets from 5 possible lives before choosing which one to be born into. However, the decision isn't easy - obviously each life is fraught with its own rewards and challenges, and the protagonist must weigh what is more important: money, family, health, or simple happiness, among other things.
