I just can't get enough of the Happy Hollisters series. :-) The family's move to an old mystery house in Shoreham would prove to be the kickoff to thirty-three fantastic cases the kids would solve with intermittent assistance from their parents, thirty-three bafflers most adult detectives and civilians would have given up on without finding the solutions. What I like about these books (and I only re-read two of them) is that the author is very positive when writing about other cultures.

I also like that the children are out and about doing things...and many of the things they do, like pursuing adult thieves, would not be written about in current childrens books, unless you have magic at hand.

What I don't like is the author constantly using the terms 'handsome' and 'slim' and 'pretty' when describing characters, and the teasing of one of the Holli
