OMG! OMG! OMG! Ga filmnya ga bukunya. Really really really like it like it! ;]
Ceritanya si teenager banget, tapi pesan moral yang hendak disampaikan buat semua umur.
Bercerita tentang Julie Baker yang sejak pertama kali bertemu Bryce Loski sudah "tergila-gila". Sedangkan Bryce sebaliknya, sebisa mungkin menjauhi Julie.

I must say, Flipped is a great book and also has a great teaching, as well as being huge amount of fun to read because of the author's fabulous techniques. One of the techniques the author uses in the book is showing different perspectives throughout the book, to be speciefic: the way he describes the point of view from Juli's and Bryce's perspective, also a very fun technique since you're always wondering what the other character in the story thinks too. Another entertaining technique is t

I'm giving this book a five because it is perfectly crafted plus a good story, good characters, great voice. The author's voices for the two viewpoints are perfect! I liked the protagonists and the supporting characters, especially his grandfather and her dad. The story teaches good lessons/values. It's also funny! And sometimes sad. I liked the way the reader's perspective also "flips" as we begin to figure out what is really going on. I'm a nature girl who has always loved to

A quick read that quickly pulls you into the lives of a boy and a girl, showing each person's point of view. The book's format was unique because it actually "flipped" from one persons perspective to the other person's perspective. The author does a great job of adding depth to the story as the book progresses and the relationship grows from a childhood crush to a young friendship. I really enjoyed how the book presented misconceptions that happens everyday in every relationship. T

I loved it! I couldn't ask for two more engaging main characters, except maybe for Nick and Norah (although they would be for much more mature readers--this is something I would feel comfortable handing to someone under 14)
Similar to Nick & Norah's Ultimate Playlist, the story is told back and forth from the boy's & girl's point of view. I loved the humor, the chicken motif, and the unexpected depth and complexity of the story.

Recommended for Middle Schoolers: Finally read this yesterday and totally enjoyed it! The story centers around a boy and a girl, neighbors, who grow up together. Told in alternating chapters, the reader flips back and forth listening to the same incidents told from each character's point of view. In the end, the story is about being authentic and true to yourself, always a good lesson for us all.

Since tomorrow's a continuation of our hell week/s (and I haven't studied yet), I'll make this review short.
I want to say three things:
1. I cried when I read this. Oh, yeah I know, kinda lame. But I am not done yet: I cried over a tree (a sycamore, Platanus occidentalis, to be exact. I don't know how this tree looks like I have to google it
). This, I think, will give you an idea how much emotion you'll get when you read this. Or just proves how crybaby I am.

Aku dapat buku ini dari giveaway di Goodreads.
Awalnya cuma karena ngelihat Teh Rini nulis review, aku jadi ingat belum ganti edisinya ke bahasa Indonesia. Eh ternyata ada giveawaynya. Iseng-iseng ikutan deh. Besoknya dikasih tahu Kak Muthe, aku menang giveaway buku ini.
Girang banget pastinya!
Baca buku ini cuma 3 jam. Beneran 3 jam. ;D

Flipped starts out looking like a funny light read. It flips back and forth between Bryce and Julianna and makes you laugh outloud. They meet in second grade when he moves into the house across the street. Julianna falls in love instantly and dreams of kissing this handsome boy with the black hair and awesome blue eyes. She pursues him with the same zeal that charactorizes her attitude toward life - above and beyond -120%. Bryce does not feel the same way at all. He avoids her like the plague, b

This is a very unique story and i really did enjoyed it a lot. Julianna Baker is crazy about Bryce Loski ever since she was seven years old. She's chased him around and daydreamed about sharing her first kiss with him for more than six years but Bryce never felt the same for her. What i really liked about this book is that it was written in a very unique way. Each chapter switches narration from Bryce talking to Juli talking and it gave me the chance to really understand both of their sides of t

Wonderful, wonderful! Absolutely loved it! The double point of view is clever and gives this story a little extra something above the rest of its kind.
Some complaints I’ve heard about the story were repetitiveness and vague ending, though I can hardly see those complaints being valid. Some reviews have argued that the rotation between the two characters (sometimes retelling the same scene or situation) is repetitive, but I enjoy learning the different interpretations. And yes ther More...

It's the classic tale: The boy next door is literally moving in when Girl meets Boy and falls head over heels. But it's the summer before second grade and the Boy? Um, not so much. "All I ever wanted is for Juli Baker to leave me alone", says Bryce. But time has a way of passing, it's 8th grade now...have Bryce's feelings flipped? Have Juli's? It's a case of be careful what you wish for because it just might happen. This story is told in alternating chapters, featuring two enga

I really liked this book! About a boy and girl who live next door; he starts out thinking she's annoying while she's interested in him. Gradually, their feelings flip. Great, interesting characters, funny moments, positive storyline for teens and adults. I especially liked the subplot involving the girl's uncle who was born severely brain damaged and lives in a special care home. The author approaches that potentially sensitive subject in a positive way that I think helps readers, especially you

The girl character was awesome. The boy character was lame. Though I admit this book was largely about how he un-lamed himself, that is, grew up. And that's dandy for him and probably not a bad thing for 12 year olds to read (who are the target audience for this book), it mostly kind of annoyed me. I don't relate well or very sympathetically to 12 year old boys, but hey, I'm a 21 year old chick, wtf am I doing reading a YA book anyway (BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT THAT'S WHY). Also, it brought up issu

I liked this book. It was a quick, simple, easy read. It wasn't perfect, but I really liked it. The book is set up so that you read the entire story twice, from two different characters' perspectives. I loved that! I love books and movies that help me remember that my own personal view of the world is not all that exists. People can experience the same experiences and events so differently. It makes me more aware of the people around me and how the things happening impact them and their l

This book shows how temporary teen love can be(although i could be wrong). or how mysterious love actually is, that you may fall in love with someone you totally didn't expect or dislike. The main characters of this book didn't expect to love each other but by some chances they ended up like that. Another view could be the author is exploring both views of love, from one possibility then to the other thus giving us a fuller picture of the situation. This is a ok teen book. It was intresting

Oh, my, this is a treat! Funny and wise; I laughed and cried.
I read it because we needed some more "wow" books for a fun summer reading list for middle schoolers at my library and I had in my notes that this was on a School Library Journal list of "Books That Got Away." I.e., worthy books that did not receive much award recognition in the year they were published. One of my library colleagues had read and loved it, too.

This book was like way off, of what I anticipated, but I still enjoyed it. First off, I would recommend this to anyone that’s really into drama/love stories with a pitch of comedy. If it wasn’t for Bryce (one of the main characters), this novel would of not been as great, because he was my favorite character throughout the whole book. The only reason why this book kept me alive was that I could relate to it at times and know how it felt to have someone bugging you. Since I first read the fir
