What can you expect from a text book? However it is pretty interesting and I have learned lots.

Again, extremely comprehensive. But this is a good one. If a student were to read this book and go through the exercises, there will be little they do not know about computers in general. It would take a school year to go through it as a course.
I think I will use parts as assignments for my students.

My Introduction to Computers textbook for BCC Fall 2007 term. It's pretty good. Gives a lot of information, the research case studies vary a lot. Some are very challenging, and very relevant to the chapter, some are not.
