Even though this is the second book in the Key trilogy, Key of Knowledge can be easily read as a stand-alone because Dana, the heroine, gives a pretty good - and funny - recapitulation of what happened in the first book, Key of Light. That said, I still recommend reading this series in order, as you get a better understanding of how things work in this PNR realm created by NR.

I liked Key of Knowledge better and maybe that's because Dana stuck on me from the very start, don't get me wrong I love Malory but I can relate to Dana's love of books and I admire her logical thinking and the fact that she has a mouth on her and isn't scared to put it to use when she's pissed!

Strong Second Installment
Once upon a time and beyond the Curtain of Power, the Curtain of Dreams, there lived three Celtic demigoddesses, sisters and daughters of a Celtic king and human woman. Some in their world revolted against their existence, offended by their links to mortality. One such god, Kane, rose up against the king and his progeny, and in a moment, a single moment when the demigoddesses' protectors had dropped their guard, he attacked with swift vengeance a More...

This book is my absolute favorite in the Key Trilogy, La Nora does it again!
What I enjoyed the most was the chemistry between Dana and Jordan. It was so well written and sumptuous, romantic without being sappy. It almost upstaged the thrill of reading about Dana's quest to find the second key. The connection and history Dana and Jordan shared was so rich, it wasn't just about the steam (which there was plenty)but a tenderness and connection that was enjoyable and satisfying to read. The second book in a trilogy can become a "middle" book (no pun intended). It just sort of shuffle the story forward until the ending in the third book. Not so this one. I think it was even better than the first.
Dana Steele is a bookworm. She has an affinity to find knowledge in books and that is going to help her to find the second key.

The start of the book was a bit dragging, and lacked a bit of Jordan-developing. (Just like I was captured by Flynn's mouth in the first book, I was reeled in by Jordan's cool, aloof but haunting history) But as the story progressed, two factors came at me like wrecking balls. The first is the emotions between Jordan and Dana, as humorous desite the crass and sarcastic mockery between the two, struck a true chord within me. Words so beautifully woven by Nora that I felt just like Dana -- the her

Damn, the second part of the Key trilogy is so much better than the first one. Much more intense and intriguing. And the first one is already a great book.
Dana Steele is one hard-assed woman, the kind of heroine I just love and adore. And she love books. She covet books. The perfect heroine for me. She's the kind of woman who fights for her own rights and not easily bullied. She's tough, intelligent, snarky, loves anything chocolate and she loves with all her heart. Even when her heart More...

This is the second book of the Key trilogy, a paranormal series in which three women are chosen to save three Celtic goddesses who are trapped by a curse. It's a competent and pleasant read, but suffers from several flaws. The main one is that the three heroines and three heroes (particularly the heroes) are interchangeable with the characters of many of Roberts' trilogies and quartets. Only halfway through the book it was already impossible to remember what any of them looked like, and their di

A young Celtic god fell for a mortal human girl and had three daughter, demi-goddesses. The demi-goddesses were cast into eternal sleep and their souls were placed inside a box. Only three woman can find the keys to open the box each looking exactly like the demi-goddesses. The three ladies were Malory Price, Dana Steele and Zoe McCourt. They must face great evil to get a hold of the key.

I am not going to review every Nora Roberts book that I have read in the past because she is quite prolific and it would get redundant and I honestly cannot remember all the plots. I think someone finds someone else attractive but at least one cannot admit it so there is sexual tension, then lots of sex, and then they live happily ever after? Sometimes there is some magic , a family legacy, or a mystery. Certainly not great works of literature (however still 100% better than “the grapes of wra

This story is about a woman name Dana Steele.A sassy, hot blood, librarian. She has a house that is full of books and plenty of coffee. She is given the mission to find the second key that will free the sister goddess locked in a box. Piece of cake, or so she thinks, until she has to deal with an old boyfriend who once broke her heart. A man who comes back to his home town and worried on what Steele has gotten herself into now. He is a great writer, books Steele will never admit she read. Him wa

I love this book. Perhaps it's because Dana is so in love with reading her house is actually described as mine would probably be (over flowing with books). She's a strong kick a** woman with strong healthy relationships. Jordan is a strong counterpoint to her strength and is a fantastic depiction of a successful writer. I particularly liked the scenes where he was writing.

This book was alright. I am always hesitant about starting a book that is part of a series (in this instance, a trilogy), but not number one (this was book two).
Pros: 1. Interesting plot line. It's a bit long, so I won't go into great detail about it, but it is fantasy-in-real-life. Fued amongst the gods that mortals have to fix.
Cons:
1. Every character is "perfect." The women are all beautiful, strong, intelligent and wise. Their flaws come off a More...

Okay so obviously if there is second book it means Malory Price has succeded her quest and stays with the "handsome prince charming" . Blah, Blah, Blah. Everybody lives happily ever after right? Well thats always the ending in books but in life it never is. This is Dana's journey and now it is her quest to find the second key, the key of knowledge. Having worked in a library sorrounded by books and always reading anything she can it makes her the key of knowledge. Learning and reading

Book two of the series was not quite as good as book one. The plot was a bit tighter but the main characters were not quite as likable. Not a big fan of heroes that are habitual smokers. It makes them weak in my eyes. I also found the used to be together and finding their way back together trope a bit strained. However, snappy dialog and an interesting continuing story arc kept me entertained throughout.

Very enjoyable. I loved the interaction between all of the characters, including Moe. I can't decide which couple I like the best. I definitely felt a kinship with Dana, since she is the booklover of the trio and Jordan is an author. Nora Roberts weaves a wonderful tale of romance, passion and magic around the reader in such a way that you feel like you are part of the story; experiencing and seeing everything the characters do. Kane was definitely more menacing and evil in this book, which tell

A mysterious invitation brings three strangers--gallery manager Malory Price, librarian Dana Steele, and hairdresser Zoe McCourt--to Warrior's Peak, a castlelike estate outside of Pleasant Valley, Pennsylvania, where their elegantly enigmatic hosts, Rowena and Pitte, offer the opportunity to participate in an unusual quest. Malory, Dana, and Zoe will each have 28 days to find one of the keys to a mystical box, which holds the trapped souls of three sister Celtic demigoddesses imprisoned by a jea

Following hot on the heels of the first installment in Roberts's Key trilogy, this second book (following Key of Light) continues the story of three contemporary female friends chosen to free the souls of ancient demigoddesses called the Daughters of Glass. This time, the heroine is Dana Steele, a librarian who is sure that the key she's seeking lies in a book. As she begins her search, Dana renovates Indulgence, the gallery-cum-salon-cum-bookstore she is opening with her friends Malory Price an

Ok, should've probably given this 2.5 stars (if that was possible), as I found it a bit disappointing.
This is part 2 of "key trilogy" and deals with my favorite character from the first book - Dana. I loved her because she was so cynical and somewhat bitter, and it just made me laugh. However, soon enough - this book justified its place over at the "romantic novel" section at the bookstore. Nothing surprising really, just a bit too "sticky" for me. I kept wai More...

This is my second time reading this series, but luckily I really didn't remember too much about it so it was almost like reading it for the first time. Once again Nora Roberts works her magic. Being a librarian myself there is a special place in my heart for librarian characters, and I also liked the storyline of regaining lost love.
I enjoyed the fact that she started Zoe and Brad's story in this book before fleshing it out in their own book, Key of Valor. I've always enjoyed the connectio More...

Dana's book appealed to me even more than Malory's story. Because Dana is a librarian and in the course of the story is opening a bookstore (while Malory is opening an art gallery and Zoe a beauty parlour). She owns lots of books, likes the smell of books, can remember quotes from several authors and is always ready to go look up what she doesn't know. I really liked Dana! And her hero, Jordan, is a writer!

It's the yearly Nora Roberts read-a-thon. I blame my father. They're his books. But I have to say that although this series had the same "Oh look! Three awesome women! Three sexy but realistic-sorta men! Let's play matchy match! Oh and there's a bad guy and a quest and blah whatever." thing going on, I still found it pretty entertaining.
I will admit that Nora Roberts does create really sexy male characters. I hate her a little for it.

Not too bad - the second in this series about finding a magical key through finding out more about yourself. Since I read these cheesey sort of books, I tend to rationalize their importance. I think this series is as much about working hard and risking everything to find yourself and happiness. On the other hand, it could just be a classic Nora Roberts book about magic, interpersonal relationships, and romantic fantasies :)

It was kind of predictable... since it follows the same kind of pattern as the Key of Light.... but... I still enjoyed it, and continue to laugh a lot at the interaction between the characters, especially then men and women conflicts. A little bit more blood and adventure on this one... and I wonder how it will be on the final... Especially when the last women is suppossed to be the one with courage and warrior instincts...
