A romping, rolling, simple, and satisfying tale—perfect for toddlers.

There’s a lot to keep a curious Kitty entertained indoors—rooms to run through, tables to topple, sleeping dogs to sniff. But what’s this? A huge place full of sky and squirrels, birds and bugs! I used this for a pre-K ELL lesson, as well as with a second grader. This is a book that gives quick satisfaction to accomplishing a read, and if you can surmount the embarrassment of the premise provides a nice index of "must-know" vocab. With a pre-K it also provides an opportunity for a simon says game that can be adapted in to a game of "KITTY GO." which provided my little student with laughs. Elementary ED may chastise me as they see fit.

Any book with kitty's in it being cute is going to be adorable to me. This cute kitty whose actions are funny and daring is great for toddlers. Simple two word sentences about Kitty will show kids opposites and mimic their own actions at time. Kitty's adventures ends happily back at home.
Cute illustrations and very simple text tell the story of a kitten who accidentally gets locked outside on a rainy day, but her sheepdog buddy saves the day.

Good implied message about keeping cats indoors where they’re warm and safe.

An Imagination Library book Sam has had for a while, but that continues to be a favorite. It's pretty simple, with cute illustrations and a nice rhythm and repetition.

To use the language of the text: "Kitty cute"

A little too cute though. As in saccharine sweet--kind of like "Hello Kitty".......
