I believe that this was her first try at young adult fiction. Honestly, being a young adult myself, I was offended. It's like she was being extremely condescending. It seemed like because she was writing for young adults, she didnt have to put forth as much effort. I didn't think it was worth the time it took to read.

well, till here ( I mean page 125) other books are more interesting than this one. maybe the rest will be better!!!
***
I finished it now. I don't like it! honestly: this last one is some how has a weak construction. you can guess what will be the end. you know the next step. that was not nice.

3rd of a series translated from Spanish. Author born in Peru, raised in Chili. Very exciting stories involving mystic characters, exotic adventures in isolated areas, this one in Africa. Good example of how to write exciting stuff for Young Adult Readers.

Last book in Allende's young adult trilogy. I've enjoyed each story and the growth of the two young main characters. Overall the book was good, not quite as good as the first two in terms of action, suspense, being believable.

Another book in the series in Spanish. I had the most difficulty reading this one for some reason. Not a bad story over all.

Evidently the final adventure of Alexander and Nadia. Maybe there will be more in the future. Never got bored.
