Penny is responsible for her younger sisters since their mother's death a year ago. An ordinary day of trying to get the girls ready in the morning and still get to school on time turns drastic. Two ships in the Halifax harbour collide causing an explosion and destroying the city. The girls and many others have to fight to survive. This is an interesting story based on an actual happening during World War 1.
Enjoying this series on Canadian girls in history.
