Gary Davis breathes life into a textbook, nonfictional and theorectical to the core. The use of pictures, transitions, creative and self-actualized self-tests and the few times he inserts himself and talks about his own research at the University caused me to buy in and want to read everything. This was a textbook for one of my creativity classes, and it's chock full of information and examples about different creativity theories, exercises, etc. However, it's so horrifically edited that I ended up being distracted on every page, circling superfluous commas and misspelled words. Wait for another edition (if there ever is one). Maybe they won't forget to copy-edit that one.
