Comprehensive guide to finding the right telescope. Covers all important aspects of telescope selection. Also covers scope accessories, binoculars, mounts, etc. Published 2007 so update would be a good idea (although more recent reviews are available at author's website). Author's appreciation of stargazing is apparent.

If you're considering about buying a telescope but you've no idea which type is suited for you, buy the book.

Also all the needed accessories are mentioned (filters, eyepieces, barlow lenses etc.).

The bible of astronomy gear. Nobody considering buying a telescope or accessories should skip reading this book. I probably saved quite a bit of money by learning what I needed and didn't need.
