Gang-crossed Lovers

Reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story, Juan and Nina are star-crossed, or in this case gang-crossed, lovers. Because of her mother's failing health, Nina Sagastume is sent to live with her cousin, Tajo. Tajo is the leader of the Bronx Gangstas. Everlasting was highly entertaining and whether intense! This book simply didn't let up! The character development and action packed storytelling was sensational. Not to mention, the writing by Stacy-Deanne is solid from the start to finish. And the romance between Nina and Juan is highly believable and worth rooting for. It truly is a star-crossed romance mixed with street-culture coming to ahead. It reminded me of Romeo and Juliet meets West Side Story. I'll read this one again, it's for sure...more
I really loved this book becuase it's all about war and love and thats what some lovers go through in everyday life. Also no one can break a part LOVE.
