I focused on the last half of this book that dealt with crochet. It was easy to read and understand but I thought could have used a few more pictures. The book referenced an "insert" for the book which was apparently missing from the library copy that I checked out so that didn't help either. I would recommend this book for kids wanting to learn crochet as it is very easy to understand and introduces all the basic stitches for practice.
This book helped me a lot when I had trouble knitting. I did learn knitting from my mother. But she was actually teaching me purling! I proved to her that she wasn't teaching me how to knit. So she was all confused. She said that's how she learned it. Through out my family generations they didn't know how to knit! They knew how to purl!
