This book, by a cat-owned veterinarian, is written in a humorous and conversational style that results in a both informative and entertaining read. Topics range from basic care of cats, to behavior and health issues, to miscellanea readers may have wondered about and these are presented in brief Q/A format.

Occasionally, the author uses moderately offensive slang instead of the correct terms. However when she does use very technical terminology, she explains exactly what she's talking about in a

I don't want to completely knock this, because I've heard Justine Lee on the radio and been impressed with her advice, but this is an awkwardly presented book. It's not like you can read the book from cover to cover, as it's mainly laid out in question (and short) answer form, which makes for some repetitive reading if you are going cover to cover. The author has a light touch to her answers but the joking tone got to be annoying as well. The other problem I had with this is the somewhat haphaza ...more

If there’s anything you want to know about cats, It’s A Cat’s World…You Just Live In It is the book to get. It has 224 questions and answers by Justine Lee, a veterinarian who has cats of her own. I liked how she throws in some humor into her answers and her love for cats come through. I loved her last sentence:

"We should all learn an important life lesson from our cats--take lots of catnaps, don't stress out, rule the roost, let someone else take care of you and pick up your crap, and be conten

I really enjoyed this book and it was an easy read. It answered some of the questions that I've kind of wondered but never asked my vet.
I always thought that my Orange and White male cats were really outgoing and I was right. It answered some basic questions as to why my cat break out in a 50 yard dash across my apt everyday. Why my cat loves cat grass or he will chow down on my house plants. I too will sacrifice my spider plant if he doesn't have any grass.
I just like her witty but not to seri

Thanks to those of you who suggested this book. This is a very informative book for people who are new to cats and people who think they are experts (like me). I was especially interested in the top 10 toxic household products and the top 10 toxic plants. Also, the part about looking for signs of illness in you cat was very helpful. The author has some strong opinions about how many cats you should own which I disagree with, but overall it is a must read for everyone who loves cats.

This was pretty funny. It was eye-opening to read that the silly things my cat does like "barking" at birds that fly around outside and following me into the bathroom everyday, are actually normal things that cats do. It makes me love them even more! haha Justine is clearly a knowledeable person and she cracked me up!

Breezy intro cat guide. Probably not informational enough to serve as a reference book for first-time cat owners, and I disagree pretty strongly with its advice re: feeding/nutrition. There are some funny anecdotes, but I wouldn't consider this an essential read.

Fun to read, great for those new to cats and for veteran owners. The author does focus on big company foods and is biased towards them, with specific mentions (sponsors?)

Otherwise great information from the serious to the silly.

I was a little confused by how the information in this book was put together but I did enjoy reading it. It was very informative and insightful and I enjoyed the humorous approach to cat behavior.

It's nonfiction, it's writing tries just a tad too hard to be "clever", but it answers some cat questions I had. That's all I can say about it.
