Imagine Stephen Shore turned loose in Shanghai w/ a digital camera!

I love this book. I keep giving it as gifts to people. There is whimsy and care and just fantastic color in all the photographs in this book. It is a collection of photogaphs of Shanghai: it's people, locales, and beautiful oddness. There are some shots of things I saw in Beijing that I loved and it tickles me to see again. Crotchless toddler pants. Flesh-toned ankle socks with sandals. Calligraphy on the pavement with a giant spongebrush. Oh, China.
