I purchased this book years ago while traveling through India, just recently picking it up to read. I was very disappointed in the text, as the majority was the description and purpose of ALL deities in the Hindu religion. I was more interested in the actual practices and in-depth beliefs of the religion rather than a basic overview, hence the low rating. For anyone looking to gain general knowledge about Hinduism, this is a good place to start.
