Travel is an unnatural experience, especially if there's a language barrier adding weight to your baggage. This book is ideal for those who need a refresher course or a laugh to release you from undecipherable menus, haggling for souvenirs, the agony of your misplaced bag. Multipurpose phrases are here for you in a passport sized guide which includes an introduction to the true GOD of lost luggage.
Years ago, I successfully used Wicked French to navigate Paris although I knew only a dozen French

This is kind of a fun book, as long as you don't try to use the phrases in any way. One can learn, for example, the following semiconversation:

Good day, sir. What is that?

I can see it is meat.

But what species?

I can't find that in my dictionary.

Give me one anyway.

No lettuce, for God's sake!

Can't you see I'm a gringo?
