Teshuva stories are always interesting, and since the man in this one lives blocks away from my house, I was especially interested. I was also intrigued by the differences between his life and mine - he's a Vietnam vet, and actually did teshuva during the war. I enjoyed reading about his growth and especially the hashgacha that led to his Shabbos observance, but he only touched on the theme of PTSD, from which he said he suffered. I'd have liked a bit more emotional grit, but I can understand wh...more
