For a book in which there's a whole bunch of characters I know absolutely nothing about [the kids in the NEW "New X-Men" and most of their supporting cast], including their power set and their inter-personal relationship status quo, the story had enough "ingredients" to, um... nourish my comic book appetite (hey, gimme a break: I'm trying to spice it up - d'oh! House of M: New X-Men - Academy X (2006)

Part of a much bigger crossover, and pretty much unreadable with reading both that story and the stories that came before.

This was pretty confusing since I don't read the books that this is an alternate reality of. After catching up on the Marvel wiki, it became semi-understandable, but still not very interesting.
