Very good book. Not as good as Catcher or Perks, but still an excellent piece of writing. I was amazed when I heard that the author was only 17.

A look into the head of an adolescent boy. I wasn't surprised by the sex or the light rebelliousness. It's just a very simple look into a different world, but a look that didn't require any emotional investment.

Meh. I've seen it all before. This book was highly deriative of The Catcher in the Rye and others of its ilk. I wouldn't have finished it at all if it weren't for the novelty that it was written by a sixteen-year-old German boy. As it was, the characters didn't grow or change, and I spent the entire book waiting for something to happen. Perhaps Benjamin Lebert just needs to grow up a little.

I picked this up at a friend's house while I was visiting in California, just because it was short and I needed something to read. I was disappointed, largely because from the title I'd been hoping it was about someone who was insane. Apparently, the word "crazy" was used in the context of teenagers acting wild. This is a translation, but to me the writing seemed bland and stilted.

Odd little book really. There is no real plot more of a teenage journey of a boy who has just moved to anew school and has found a bunch of new friends. Has sex in and other rebellious acts but nothing major. I liked it.

Before I bought the book, I've read an article about the author and was touched by his life, what he went through. I wanted to know more, so I bought the book. It's been years since I've read it, but I remember that I really liked it.

Easy read. Coming of age story. Not the best I've read, but interesting.
