This review is ONLY FOR Laura Baumbach's Winner Takes All

Two of my favorite Baumbach are novellas: Enthralled and Breathing. This novella here has the same aura as that. A centuries old vampire and a young human. I love how Baumbach writes the scene between them from the stalking to the actual love making. She really knows how to prolong the love making scene making it worth it until the climax.

Wolf's Recluse was a great story which I rated 5+.

I liked "Winner Takes All" and "The Gift Of The Raven" less and rated both at 3.

Three stories of old vampires and of the young ones they turn for love.

Angela Fiddler is a revelation here with a complex short story: Gift of the raven. The relationship between Cory and Luke shifts, twists and turns while they battle twin evils. Gripping and worth the cover price of the book for this story alone.

The 4 stars are for the first fic by Baumbach. I had to re-read the first 3 pages to get what was up, but it was an amazing story. The second fic was - eh - and the third was good. Worth the purchase for the first story.

The Laura B story was all right....I didn't much like the beginning, though it ended fine. The Jet M story was too short! The Angela Fiddler story was amazing! It was worth getting the book just for that story.
