Volume two has a much better pacing than volume one. This volume features Ikki's first "win" against a team, and Simca runs around acting innocent when it's obvious her motives are not. There's a bit of fanservice in this volume. Nothing in comparison to later volumes. There's some implied naughty stuff with Simca, and a few pantyshots here and there. I'd say this volume's fanservice was very mild, considering it's Air Gear.[return][return]The volume leaves off setting up for Ikki's next battle and introduces a major character. Mikan gets a lot of attention. That was something I liked about this volume. She's my favourite of the four sisters, and the one that seems to have the most sense. She's usually not a target of fanservice either. With Simca being focused on this volume, there wasn't much Ringo fanservice either. Sometimes, Oh! Great really does overdue it when it comes to that, and it does hamper parts of the series. I like these earlier volumes where it wasn't out of hand. Just enough, but not drawing too much attention away from the plot. [return][return]Onigiri and Kazu, while doing important research, get shoved to the background. Neither has had any development yet. It's mostly been Ikki, the sisters, and Simca. That's fine for now. They're more central to the plot as this point. Each gets a turn getting pushed out of the spotlight during different points in the series. That may be somewhat of a downfall of the series. There are a lot of characters. That's only natural considering the genre of the series. There are a lot of great characters, but they don't all get to shine. It's much like in the story itself. Everyone's reaching towards the sky, but not everyone can make it up there.[return][return]There was something I really liked about this volume. The atmosphere. I don't know if it was the clothes or the events or how everyone interacted...but everything had this very nice feeling to it, and I kept thinking it was close to Winter. All those warm coats yet paired with items more for the warmer months, like the season was coming but not quite there yet. The fashion in this volume was great. Oh! Great does a wonderful job on clothes, especially the ladies. [return][return]I didn't have any favourite moments in this volume. It was a quick read, and makes you want to hurry up and get the next volume. But it doesn't seem very special on it's own.[return][return]One last annoyance. This would be Del Rey's fault. This book is really good. I know their are other books and im looking forward to read the others. My brother has all of them so i can read all of them as soon as possible hopefully. I also hope that they are just as good as this one. I would recomend this book to almost everyone, to read this book the reader must have a high sense of humor if they dont they might not like it as much as some one like me or my friends would. My brother read all of them already and he has an unbelievablly high sens...more

Sigue mejorando de a puchitos. Los recursos narrativos de Ogure para marcar velocidad, movimiento, peso, luz y todo lo que sea, siguen siendo casi ilimitados, y la historia va tomando algo de forma más allá de las carreritas.
Lo leí con gusto aunque no es ninguna maravilla, pero el #2 de Tenjho Tenge tampoco lo era y después me encantó cómo siguió la serie. Le doy un par de tomos más de margen, que algo me dice que van a valer la pena.

Recommends it for: Fanservice seekers

Running parallel with Tenjho Tenge, this manga is more light-hearted than its big brother. the art are marvelous and on par with Tenjho Tenge and Majin Devil. the story is not nearly as dark as Tenjho Tenge and Majin Devil, but Airgear DOES cater fanservice to both of the sexes. the sheer amount of fanservice may overwhelm you if you're looking for a good story; otherwise, it's a fine addition to anyone's shelf.
