This may be my favorite book of all time. The characters are so quirky and charismatic that one can't help but love them. I found myself relating to the main character, Heather, so it was like reading a book about myself. This book offered great wisdom, and I sometimes find myself referencing the book for it's wise words.
I would lovelovelove for a sequel to this book to see where the story and lives of Heather and her friends continue to go.

This is the third book in the series about a small town called Pritchett. I originally grabbed the first book, Front Porch Princess, to read for a school assignment, not expecting much other than a quick read. I was pleasantly surprised! I fell in love with the characters and actually found some great wisdom admist the humor and love stories. I really enjoy Kathryn Springer's writing style. She made me laugh and cry and I didn't want to put this book down! If you want a great book about faith an...more

Bernice and Alex have finally gotten married and left on a 2 month honeymoon through Europe. Heather, having her cosmotology license, takes over running the Cut and Curl for Bernice and really gets involved in small town life.

Kathryn Springer, winner of the 2007 Write Touch Reader’s Award (long contemporary), grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin, where her parents published a weekly newspaper. As a child, she spent many hours sitting at her mother’s typewriter, plunking out stories, and credits her parents for instilling in her a love of books – which eventually turned into a desire to tell stories of her own....more
