Había leído tantos buenos comentarios y tantas críticas positivas que tenía que leerlo y comprobar por mí misma si los rumores eran ciertos. What can I say about the Kissed By an Angel trilogy... hhmmmm. The first book was alright. I wish that Ms. Chandler would have played up the romance between Ivy and Tristan a little more. It was really hard to feel the emmotion of the characters. But I cannot complain too much on the subject because, once I started reading the second book, I was hooked and couldn't put my kindle down. I am a big fan of mystery, and the second and third books definitely have alot of it.

This edition has book 1, 2 and 3 of the Kissed by an Angel series in. I am starting book 4 today so thought I would write a quick review of my thought on the first 3 books in the series. I am going to count all 3 as 1 book though because that's how it felt when I was reading it.

Ivy is devastates when her boyfriend Tristan, the love of her life suddenly dies. She doesn't know how to cope without him. She has always believed that angels watched over everyone but now she's not so sure. If angels watched over everyone why would they take Tristan away from her?
Tristan is sent back to earth as Ivy's guardian angel. She is grave danger and she has no idea how close the threat to her life actually is. As she tries to live her life unaware of the danger she is in Tristan must try to save her. But if he does he'll be sent back, is he ready to let her go?

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was such a great love story. At the beginning when Tristan dies I wasn't sad or anything as I expected it. I didn't know the character that well so I couldn't get emotional about it. What I didn't count on was the author going back and re-telling the story of how he and Ivy met, how they fell in love and how perfect their relationship was. I knew exactly what was going to happen and I really didn't want it to happen and ended up sobbing like a baby.
I started to love Will. He is such a sweet character and all he wanted was to help Ivy through Tristan's death and was always there for her.
I was completely shocked to find out who the threat was. I did not see that coming at all. Usually in book I can guess what's going to happen but I was completely shocked and it took me completely by surprise.
Elizabeth Chandler did a great job sucking you into the story and I became so attached to the characters. It's a great love story and I honestly think that the story should stop here. It's a great ending and I was so happy with it.
However I can't wait to read book 4 and am really looking forward to seeing what's going to happen next.(less)

I read this one right after Marked, which probably explains why I liked it so much, because it is not so original after all, of course.
For me, the most interesting part of Kissed by an Angel was the swimmer-hero. My parents met at the swimming-pool, my husband and me love swimming, so this is not a surprise. I really liked the atmosphere of the pool in the book, how Tristan offers to teach Ivy to swim, how quite a few key events happened in this area of the school. This seems quite special to me...more

I think the book was written by an amateur It didn't make sense half the time. It didn't describe things well. The grammar wasn't very good. It was hard to distinct what was said out loud and what was said inside the persons head with the same font as everything else and parenthesis around them just like they're normal statments. But then it says she's been bffs with suzanne since 2nd grade. It also said she didnt know anyone and Suzanne was just her guide for her knew school. So was she new or did she live there her hole life? Then the author would put random events that were completely off topic and pointless. Like Ivy had been waiting for Suzanne since 6 o'clock. Not once mentioned for what or where. The book gives very little details about settings and characters. It was so bad that in the beginning she just threw names out there and gave little discription or mental ques.

She also didn't spend enough time on the connection between Ivy and Tristan. I didn't feel the love. I didn't feel the fact that they couldn't live without eachother. Honestly ot sounded like a junior high couple. At the moment where the authorvshould have zeroed in on the love between them she focused Ivy more on Gregory. It made Ivy seem as tho she didn't care for Tristan he was just kinda one of those guys u avoid but yet he's your "boyfriend". So I didn't sense any attraction much between them much other than in the pool just a tad when she learns how to swim. With that being said, during the second book it seems like "Ivy will never be able to live without her one true love Tristan" bull crap if what they had was anything like what was in the first book she should be able to move on no problem. The book was emotionally detatched beyond belief.
I honestly have never read one book in my life that I have disliked. But here it is my first. I would not recommend this book. I have given every book I read at least a 4 or 5 star rating, this is the first low rating I've given. I was very disappointed. The discription on the back sounded like it would be a great book. So the plot was excellent it was just presented very poorly. I honestly think I could do better. I'm sorry but the Novel was horribly written(less)

This book was definitely not as good as I thought it would be. I picked it up because I was going to be dog-sitting for a couple of weeks and needed something to do. This book caused me physical anguish just trying to get through it!

It's definitely written for a younger age group, maybe 11 or 12 year olds. The writing style isn't very amazing.

More like 1.5 stars. I wanted to like this one because unlike many of the YA romances on the shelves today, Kissed By An Angel was written before Twilight. I was hoping therefore that KBAA would be a little bit more original than all the other YA romances I've read recently.

WOW!!!! I couldn't put this book down. The is an amazing love story with a tie in to religion and guardian angels. Also, there is talk about soul mates. It is about finding your true love and loosing that love. For me, it is about overcoming a tragedy and believing you can get passed that loss. It is about trusting in yourself and instincts.

I did find it a little strange how fast and hard they fell for each other, but it did make the story more romantic. The plotline is very complicated due to varying love interest and other secret character connections, yet it is still pretty easy to follow and understand at most times. I definitely appreciated the unpredictability of most of the plot as well. Some of the characters I felt could’ve been better developed except for the most important to the story, Ivy, Tristan, and Gregory, who were all characterized well. I really liked Chandler’s explanation for angels and their abilities because it added a creative and supernatural flair to the story. Readers will have a difficult time setting Kissed by an Angel down because of the suspense and its powerful message of love outweighing all.

Fans of romance novels and mysteries involving life after death will love Kissed by an Angel, especially those who enjoyed Reincarnation by Suzanne Weyn, Far From You by Lisa Schroeder, Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin, and Jo-Jo and the Fiendish Lot by Andrew Auseon.

Alright, starting from the beginning...

Book 1: I read the beginning of this book and liked some of the characters. To be honest, I flew by some of the beginning just because it was really slow. I know it was building up the main two character's relationship (Tristan and Ivy) but it was just kind of uninteresting. Book 1: I read the beginning of this book and liked some of the characters. To be honest, I flew by some of the beginning just because it was really slow. I know it was building up the main two character's relationship (Tristan and Ivy) but it was just kind of uninteresting. It was basically, boy likes girl, girl likes boy, but they don't each other like each other. I would have liked to seen more about how much they cared about each other during their actual relationship. So Tristan dies and it's sad, and a tad confusing at that moment. I know I didn't quite realize that Tristan was an angel standing over his father and his body. This book continues on while Ivy grieves for the loss of Tristan. (On a side note: I really like how the author changes from Tristan's point of view to Ivy's throughout the books)

Book 2: This book really just made me mad. Ivy was extremely stubborn and she just made me want to yell at her. There were so many signs around her that Tristan was there but she just ignored them, she was also very rude to her friends that were innocently trying to help her. Oh and Greg is a total creep, we know it but Ivy doesn't. I really don't get how Ivy trust him as much as she does. This book was important to the continuation of the series but I didn't like it.

Book 3: I'm currently reading this book and I love it. Unlike the 1st two books, this book is more mysterious... I just have a problem with the fact that you literally can't trust anyone. Everyone is hiding something and it reminds me a lot of Pretty Little Liars. I don't like how much they do it on that show but in this book, the suspects and curiosity is wonderful. Can I just say, OMG I love Lacey in this book! Lacey is another angel on the journey with Tristan, she's so delightful, she has a great sense of humor and also a sensitive side hidden but arrogance. I'm so happy with her, Ella (Ivy's cat, I know weird that I'm happy with her), Phillip (Ivy's brother), and Beth... of course Ivy and Tristan are also great. Ivy finally get's it. I feel like she's still extremely stubborn but I don't mind it as much in this book. This is definitely the best book out of the three but you must read the first two to build on how you feel about each and every character.

Overall, I loved the third book the most. It was wonderful. The first book was a little slow and boring, sweet romance, but not that much of it. Second book was alright, necessary, but AHH annoying. Ivy just made me so mad! But whatever :P Great serious, I'm extremely nervous to read the next 3 books, especially the last final book. It makes me nervous because I just want a wonderful ending with the two characters together... What happened to 'happily ever after'... Authors need to incorporate this into their novels more. Who knows? Maybe it'll be a great ending.

Book One: Kissed By an Angel
This is a nice story. I would have enjoyed more of Tristan and Ivy's relationship to be described before the accident and their deep love would have been more believable had we been given access to more of their time together.

Ivy's parents seem to be clueless that all of this is going on around them and don't really have a part in the story.
All of the characters are clearly drawn except Will who isn't really described other than his artistic ability.
It's a okay read, not really deep but entertaining.

Book Two: The Power of Love
This second book in the series begins right where the first one ended.
Tristan continues to grow and understand his angel powers as Ivy continues to mourn his loss and begins to realize that there is more to the mystery of their fatal accident than she had realized.
There are red herrings to follow but the villain is fairly obvious from the beginning.
Ivy seems somewhat dim to keep allowing Gregory to get closer and closer to her when she didn't like him. The whole thing of she is bonding with him because they have each had a loss made me roll my eyes several times because Ivy seemed smarter than that. And messing with her friend's boyfriend simply seemed wrong for her character.
It's still a decent read.

Book Three: Soulmates
This third part of the trilogy is a satisfying, although bittersweet, ending. It's hard to say much without posting spoilers.
I do wish there had been a longer time frame for all these stories to play out. The idea that Ivy in the space of only a few months is already in love with someone new was a problem for me which could have been solved if there had been a year or so since Tristan had died. I think it would have made more sense and the events could have been over the space of a year instead of a few months. That's a small complaint, I know but it would have made Tristan and Ivy's love seem more real had she not so soon fallen for someone else.
Ivy, throughout the series, doesn't seem as bright as she is supposed to be. She doesn't bother locking doors, even once she knows she is in danger, This seems stupid. Taking a shower with the radio up full blast seems even more stupid when she has already realized that she isn't safe, even in her own room with the door locked. I know she needs to behave this way because it's important to the plot for break-ins, etc but she doesn't seem to smarten up very much. Also, she seems to just shrug it off when she understands that there must be another way into her attic space but does nothing about it. Concerning this book. I can remember why as a teenager I liked this book so much. But as a woman in my 30's now, it's a bit cheesy. So this is my rating and feelings about the book as I am now. I liked most of the characters, but couldn't understand why Ivy actually thought that Gregory had changed so much and trusted him. Not just trusted him, but fell for him and counted on him to make her feel better about everything happening in her life. I really did not like how she was fooling around with him behind the back of her best and oldest friend. Each time she would try to stop herself from having feelings for Gregory (and making out with him, staring into his eyes, and finding him in a crowd as if nobody else were there), she would think about how much she was hurting her best friend.....but then two pages later it was the same thing all over again. And her "falling in love" with Will? When did that happen? Yes, she was attracted to him, intrigued by him, felt some sort of chemistry with him....but love?

That's the problem with so many of these teenage books. The characters see each other and talk one time and suddenly it is true love. What is wrong with writing a book where they actually become friends first and get to know each other before they are talking about "the love of my life". Yes, you can be attracted to someone at first, but you have to get to know the real person to have real feelings.(less)

La acción comienza cuando, de repente se "suicida" la madre de Gregory (no la madrastra que es la madre de Ivy) Ivy se da cuenta que ese día había estado por allí, cerca de la casa de Caroline (madre de Gregory).
Días después, tiene lugar el accidente de Ivy y Tristán y Tristán muere.
Y todo empieza a volverse intenso, cuando Tristán, convertido en ángel tras su muerte y con la misión de proteger a Ivy, se da cuenta de que su "accidente" no fue un accidente y de que alguien quería matar a Ivy porque había visto algo que no debería haber visto, el día de la muerte de Caroline.

Los personajes están muy bien definidos, y la acción muy bien dessarrollada. Un personaje que me encanta hasta que (SPOILER MUY GRANDE; NO MIRAR SI NO QUEREIS) descubrí que no es en realidad lo que parece y que es el causante del asesinato de su madre, es Gregory.

Gregory me encanta y esa tensión de "hermanastro quiere a hermanastra" y viceversa, es genial. Esos momentos (sí, morbosos XD) entre ellos, son geniales. Otro personaje realmente encantador es Philip.
Y Eric, tras pasar todo, me dio incluso pena.

Bueno, es una historias (quitando el principio que es endulzada) muy intensa y llena de misterios que no se resuelven hasta el final. Está realmente currado.

Recibe: 4.89 por no darle un 5, porque tampoco es perfecto (XD) pero me encantó.

So I finally broke through my readers block and finished reading this book despite a new semester at university and my health being threatened by a cold. I've been hearing all the rage for this series when it first came out. But only now had the chance to read it.

Honestly I can't tell you how many times I swore when I read Ivy convince herself that this time was different and leading herself to so many dead ends and mistakes and what have you. Perhaps it was because I felt personally connected...more

I bought this (huge) book for $10. That's about $3 a book. For the price, I thought the book was superb.

When I first read the book, I couldn't put it down. I desperately wanted to know everything. I wanted to get to the end so the mystery would be solved. When I did finish the book, I couldn't stop thinking about it. It drove me insane. The first and second books were pretty okay, but the third is intense. So I'm not gonna lie, I bought this book for the cover artwork! It was a little bit reminiscent of Twilight, so I couldn't resist. However, I ended up reallllyyyy loving it! I would've given it 4 1/2 star if I could. The first part of the book started of a little (okay a lot!) corny, and definitely felt like the young adult readers it was categorized for. Elizabeth Chandler did a great job with the love, mystery, and paranormal in Kissed by an Angel. I loved Tristan's presence as an angel, I thought it was very creative and enticing; I kept reading to see if he would finally break through the barriers of life and death to reveal who murdered him.
