This is one of the first books I added to-read when I joined Goodreads in February 2011.

This book is an omnibus of the first three books in the Kissed By An Angel series: Kissed By An Angel; The Power of Love; and Soulmates.

I rate Kissed By An Angel 2 stars, The Power of Love 2 stars, and Soulmates 4 stars. By the law of averages that makes this omnibus a 2.5 rating. Although there are no distinct markings to direct where one book ends, it's very obvious when you start a new chapter and go throu...more

What can I say about the Kissed By an Angel trilogy... hhmmmm. The first book was alright. I wish that Ms. Chandler would have played up the romance between Ivy and Tristan a little more. It was really hard to feel the emmotion of the characters. But I cannot complain too much on the subject because, once I started reading the second book, I was hooked and couldn't put my kindle down. I am a big fan of mystery, and the second and third books definitely have alot of it.

Spoiler Alert! Do not read...more

I read this book over a year ago, so this review will probably be quite short.
This edition has book 1, 2 and 3 of the Kissed by an Angel series in. I am starting book 4 today so thought I would write a quick review of my thought on the first 3 books in the series. I am going to count all 3 as 1 book though because that's how it felt when I was reading it.

Ivy is devastates when her boyfriend Tristan, the love of her life suddenly dies. She...more

I read this one right after Marked, which probably explains why I liked it so much, because it is not so original after all, of course.
For me, the most interesting part of Kissed by an Angel was the swimmer-hero. My parents met at the swimming-pool, my husband and me love swimming, so this is not a surprise. I really liked the atmosphere of the pool in the book, how Tristan offers to teach Ivy to swim, how quite a few key events happened in this area of the school. This seems quite special to me...more

I think the book was written by an amateur It didn't make sense half the time. It didn't describe things well. The grammar wasn't very good. It was hard to distinct what was said out loud and what was said inside the persons head with the same font as everything else and parenthesis around them just like they're normal statments. The author would say one thing then say something completely different later on in the story. For example, In the beginning as far as I understood she had just move the...more

This book was definitely not as good as I thought it would be. I picked it up because I was going to be dog-sitting for a couple of weeks and needed something to do. This book caused me physical anguish just trying to get through it!

It's definitely written for a younger age group, maybe 11 or 12 year olds. The writing style isn't very amazing.

The book is essentially 3 books in one. Book one was bearable, though still not very good. It got the plot moving. Book two! Oh my gosh, it took me 4 mon...more

More like 1.5 stars. I wanted to like this one because unlike many of the YA romances on the shelves today, Kissed By An Angel was written before Twilight. I was hoping therefore that KBAA would be a little bit more original than all the other YA romances I've read recently.

Unfortunately Kissed By An Angel is at best a clumsily told supernatural soap opera. The writing is mediocre and Ivy is perhaps the worst Mary Sue I've ever read. Her countless admirers don't have much in the way of personali...more

WOW!!!! I couldn't put this book down. The is an amazing love story with a tie in to religion and guardian angels. Also, there is talk about soul mates. It is about finding your true love and loosing that love. For me, it is about overcoming a tragedy and believing you can get passed that loss. It is about trusting in yourself and instincts.

I wish Tristan actually existed; I can't speak for every girl, but he seems like that perfect guy if someone can be perfect. I am sucker for a great love st...more

True love is hard to find and even harder to hold onto. Ivy knows this, that’s why when her boyfriend Tristan dies, she is so devastated. Her life just seems too empty with her mother’s remarriage, her eerily spacious new home, and most of all, Tristan’s absence. But what she doesn’t know since she lost her faith in angels is that Tristan is still with her—in the form of a guardian angel. They must find a way to work together, especially when sinister occurrences keep happening closer and closer...more

Alright, starting from the beginning...

Book 1: I read the beginning of this book and liked some of the characters. To be honest, I flew by some of the beginning just because it was really slow. I know it was building up the main two character's relationship (Tristan and Ivy) but it was just kind of uninteresting. It was basically, boy likes girl, girl likes boy, but they don't each other like each other. I would have liked to seen more about how much they cared about each other during their actu...more

Kissed By An Angel, by Elizabeth Chandler, was a thrilling romance/mystery that I couldn't stop reading. It brings a normal world crashing into the unknown, full of angels and secrets and lies. It even brought a tear to my eye on several occasions.
Tristan Carruthers, the best swimmer in his high school, with all the girls after him, suddenly falls for Ivy Lyons when she moves in with her super rich step-father. After a while, she feels the same way about him. But disaster strikes when a car cras...more

This book was amazing! It is technically three books in one and is 690 pages long. The story line centers around high school student Ivy Lyons and her love, or soul-mate, Tristan Carutherrs. In the first book Tristan dies in a tragic car accident, crushing Ivy's world and making her lose faith in the many angels that she used to believe in so faithfully. Throughout the book the point of view switches from Ivy to Tristan, who has now become Ivy's guardian angel. Tristan finds out that his death w...more

Book One: Kissed By an Angel
This is a nice story. I would have enjoyed more of Tristan and Ivy's relationship to be described before the accident and their deep love would have been more believable had we been given access to more of their time together.
I had a problem with the drama club doing speeches on the high dive something of a silly bit of plot to get Tristan with Ivy but it's a small complaint and it didn't bother me too much.
Tristan's realization that he has died and is now an angel we...more

My review for the three individual books was by impressions I had from reading this series when it first came out in the 90's. I've thought about it quite a bit over the years and wanted to read them again, but none of the libraries I've lived by carried the books. I'm assuming that after the LJ Smith books were re-released and added to, they decided to do the same to this series. After reading this series again, I'm not going to bother reading the newer, added on books to the trilogy. I like ho...more

Ed è riuscita a fare t...more

I adore everything about this book. From the beautiful characters to the stunning way it's been written. I've never read a book like this before and yes, it's long (698 pages), for me anyway, it still kept me captivating all the way through it. You are carried along on an emotional trip with Ivy - everything's so passionate. Something I loved especially was that sometimes you found out things that Ivy wouldn't - with Tristan - and it kept you on the edge of your seat as you watched Ivy make such...more

So I finally broke through my readers block and finished reading this book despite a new semester at university and my health being threatened by a cold. I've been hearing all the rage for this series when it first came out. But only now had the chance to read it.

Honestly I can't tell you how many times I swore when I read Ivy convince herself that this time was different and leading herself to so many dead ends and mistakes and what have you. Perhaps it was because I felt personally connected...more

I bought this (huge) book for $10. That's about $3 a book. For the price, I thought the book was superb.

When I first read the book, I couldn't put it down. I desperately wanted to know everything. I wanted to get to the end so the mystery would be solved. When I did finish the book, I couldn't stop thinking about it. It drove me insane. The first and second books were pretty okay, but the third is intense. The plot goes very quickly in comparison to the others. I wish more happened in the earlie...more

I am not one to read books about mystical creatures like angels but that wasn't what made me hate this book so.

The story of Ivy and Tristan begin with a terrible accident in which Tristan, Ivy's boyfriend, dies in a car wreck. Ivy prays to her angels but with no response, abandons her faith in them. Turns out she shouldn't have because Tristan becomes one. He is told by long time guardian angel, Lacey, that he cannot go to the other side until he has fulfilled his mission as a guardian angel. It's a rose. And a rose is my favorite flower (yes I know, a rose. Just like every other girl on the planet.) I think that's what caught by eye in the bookstore. It's different. But not to different. It's unique. There's the word I was looking for. Unique.

What's up?

(This one book has three individual books in it. And I have already reveiwed the fourth book in this series {Evercrossed}. So since it has three books in it, I'm just going to give you a general idea of wh...more

So I'm not gonna lie, I bought this book for the cover artwork! It was a little bit reminiscent of Twilight, so I couldn't resist. However, I ended up reallllyyyy loving it! I would've given it 4 1/2 star if I could. The first part of the book started of a little (okay a lot!) corny, and definitely felt like the young adult readers it was categorized for. The whole Tristan and Ivy love story was a tad rushed and overdone, making it feel a little like a Harlequin novel, but once you got past that...more

Elizabeth Chandler did a great job with the love, mystery, and paranormal in Kissed by an Angel. I loved Tristan's presence as an angel, I thought it was very creative and enticing; I kept reading to see if he would finally break through the barriers of life and death to reveal who murdered him. I, like many others, wish I could have had more of a relationship develop between Tristan and Ivy, but their connection is built stronger in the second and third books when they are desperately trying to...more
