We recently learned we are better off avoiding gluten. After having hit and miss luck with recipes we downloaded off of the internet we decided we better get a cookbook. 1,000 Gluten Free Recipes has proved to be an indispensable resource, it never leaves my kitchen counter! Every recipe we have tried has turned out to be delicious.
The only thing I wish this book had was a table describing which gluten-free flours you can substitute with one another, and benefits and drawbacks of More...

Every single recipe I have made from here has been delicious! Some are a little more complicated, but they are all worth it. She has a recipe for GF sourdough starter that I now have in my fridge and her recipe for sourdough french bread is amazing--that is the only bread I have made since discovering that recipe. For all you Celiacs out there who miss french bread, you will weep when you taste this.

Gluten-free recipes from a celiac who happens to be the daughter of a wheat farmer. All the old comfort foods and new ethnic foods with gluten-free substitutions and recommended gf brands.

Love the choices and the variety of recipes. Have a ton of recipes flagged to try. A well rounded book for someone like me, looking for more choices on my gluten-free diet. Thanks for writing this Carol. Your work will be appreciated.

Looked through the cookbook and found a good number of recipes that I would want to try. Flour blend was specific to author/cookbook but she gave percentages of each flour so that you could make it as needed for each recipe instead of a whole batch at once like most cookbooks. Also had many recipes that gave several variations depending on tolerances (ex. corn based vs. rice based). Thinking of purchasing the cookbook.

A great compendium though I find her reliance on only one flour-mix to be unfortunate.
