I imagine that a lot of people picked this up imagining lots of heaving bosomed maidens and Barker-esque meditations about pain and pleasure and transgression and were sorely disappointed. Because this book isn't about sexy horror--it's about the horrors of sex. And brother, sex can be horrifying, as the diverse talent assembled here demonstrates.
The scattershot approach works well--while I found some of the stories to not be all that interesting , a lot of them crackle.

Aphra by Nancy A. Collins - 021013 - intriguing. A story about how what we first find erotic continues through our lives
Eye of the Lynx by Thomas Ligotti - 041913 - not really a writing style I read, so it wasn't a favorite story. I did like the overall theme, trapping your love in your heart (or I think that is the theme...like I said, the writing style was not for me)
