My FAVORITE book as a child and I own it! Found it several years ago online through a library in Wooster, OH. I purchased it for $65. But to me it's priceless!
My favourite library book as a child. I must have checked this out from the Melbourne Public Library dozens of times.
This now hard to find picture book was my favorite book as a child (early '70s), not least because the hero and I share a first name and a similarity of appearance. Today it's not politically correct, but it's still true. Martha Alexander's pictures remain irresistible, as does the relationship of a girl with her doll.

If this is the book I remember from when I was a kid, it is a lovely book about a little girl named Kate and her doll named Elizabeth. It is the reason I named my doll Kate.
This was my favorite book of all time as a kid.
My absolute favorite book as a little girl!
