With Emma Frost's help, the Hell-Fire club takes over Xavier's school, crippling the X-men, until Kitty Pride Yalies the troops. There is also a plot to kill Collusus lead by some weird alien mutants.
Always fun to read something with Joss Whedon at the helm, and Cassaday's work is beautiful.

I just wish that these collections weren’t so damn short, especially since this one’s a cliffhanger!

I write for Marvel Comics, so I occasionally feel the need to pick up a comic compilation and see what other writers are doing, but Joss Whedon is a writer I'd read regardless. This is just fun stuff. He obviously enjoys characterization, and is adept at putting that on the page.
