This book made me angry. Part of the fundamentalist propaganda machine. I read it while working at a Christian bookstore. I am, for lack of a more suitable definition, an atheist now and this book helped me along the way. That is the only reason I added it.

I have no idea what Ray is railing against here in this book, but it sure isn't evolution. It is clear from Ray's ramblings that he is completely ignorant of what evolution is. His claims of what evolution is are completely devoid of fact.

Basically Ray has created a strawman of what he *thinks* evolution is and tears that apart, but what he fails to do is comment on the *real* evolution.

This book, as its title informs, is a collection of emails between Ray Comfort and one James David Franz. Let me say in the beginning that the very title betrays Comfort's lack of knowledge on the subject. "Intelligent Design vs. Evolution" is not a relevant debate. What he argues is "Six-Day Creationism vs. Evolution." "Intelligent Design" is not diametrically opposed to Evolution. In fact, ID incorporates an higher, intelligent power into the evolutionary model. But I didn't know this at the t ...more

I read this book a few weeks ago and I think about it a lot. This book was kind of parralel to what was happening in my life: my cousin (an atheist) had been emailing me (a Christian). This book was helpful to give me some insight on how to reply to his point of view. I found this book inspirational and thought provoking. At the begining though it seemed like he (Ray Comfort) was not really answering his questions at some points. He eventually did but thats just how it felt to me. I would define ...more

Comfort's work is amazing. A great apologetic that defends the Christian faith in response to letters from an atheist. This book is 'intellectually stimulating, thought-provoking and at times, even humourous'.

Ray Comfort is a Christian.
He is also the founder of Living Waters Publications. After relocating from New Zealand to Southern California in the late 1980s, Ray introduced a long line of pastors and churches to a biblical teaching which he called Hell's Best Kept Secret. From humble beginnings, Living Waters has become an internationally recognized ministry, reaching the lost and equipping Christi
