Recommends it for: fans of history and architecture
A well-written, entertaining look at greater London's archaeology and architecture in context with the events of the time. Those sites that are open for visits are noted. I just wish he'd put in the indices a map of all the sites to save one from looking up and mapping all the addresses in the event of organizing a self-guided tour.
