I've really been loving the Smithsonian Wild Heritage book series ever since randomly stumbling upon Black Bear Cub at Half Price Books a few weeks ago. These are not your typical tales of anthropomorphic animals getting into silly situations. The illustrations are wonderful and the stories hold my daughter's interest all while teaching her (and me!) a thing or two about animals that live in the United States. I can't wait to collect all the books in the series.

This is an adorable informational book, yet written in a very detailed story form. This story tells us about the life of bears and how a mother protects her cubs.its a very descriptive story.
