This is the first of three tales: Windlord, Earthlord and Firelord.

A brother and sister whose parents are preoccupied archaeologists discover that they can travel back in time to the Celtic past. They meet good and bad intent among the characters and luckily for them, manage to befriend the Windlord who can summon the air.

This is a great fun, fast-paced adventure and the author has since written many more Celtic fantasies. While this is a young adult book, adult fantasy fans could easily enjoy

I read this about 16 years ago, and it blew my mind. it'd be great to find a copy somewhere, although I'd be worried about ruining the childhood magic...

This is out of print now but probably one of the best modern, Irish fantasy series. It's moving, witty, sad, realistic and fun.

Moreover the badies are scary and the magic is cool.
