Every review I have seen gives this book a favorable review but it's hard for me to do. All too often the author reduces women to physical, two-dimensional objects and tehn attempts to become one. yes, I know this view is carried strongly in the drag/queer community but maybe, because I'm a woman of color and the author is a white older man, it just feels like the old gay days - you know when the gay community was just white men who undervalued women and women's roles in their lives. A shockingly honest portrayal/deconstruction of a middle aged man's dip into the netherworld (and yes, I'm afraid it still is a netherworld) of cross-dressing internet hook ups.

The back of this book says it is "...a hilarious journey through the world of the cross-dresser."
Wrong. This book is not hilarious. In fact, it is incredibly depressing.
