This is the most amazing revelation to me! I've taught the writings of medieval women for over 20 years, and only 2 years ago discovered Teresa de Cartagena in this great edition. She was deaf, from a "converso" (formerly Jewish) family, and said to be the first Spanish feminist. She dates from the 15th century but she is timeless.

Fascinating woman. Must read for people who are interested in those oft ignored by mainstream history.
