Read in April, 2008
recommends it for: Dutchies who think they speak perfect English; native English speakers who speak NT2.
Although I'm not native Dutch speaker who also speaks English (quite the opposite, in fact) I found this book very useful on two points. The first was that it helped me to understand a lot of the odd things Dutch people say in English (I was never quite sure what a "global estimate" was, for example). The other thing is that it has helped me greatly with my own Dutch, and in understanding some of the language and behaviour of this largely tall, blond crowd I've found myself among.
