Tempting Miss Prissy, now retitled Wild Hearts, is a thoroughly enjoyable book for mature readers due to the sexual content. There is drama, humour, a good looking protective hero, and a heroine who is finding her way after running out on an abusive marriage. Let's not forget the dog who played his part to perfection. This delightful and often hilarious portrait of life in a Colorado boom town was entertaining from start to finish. The author has a true gift for creating lifelike, quirky and distinctive characters that draw the reader in and make you care about their trials and tribulations. When I first read Sharon Ihle, it was because my roommate had gotten a huge box of romance novels from her aunt. She decided to share the loot, and I ended up reading Dear Penelope, which was actually surprisingly good.
