Stumbled upon this in the local library, honestly didn't check to see that is vol. 5 which was sloppy of me; but with one of the Adolf's involved being Hitler, I wanted to read this before my boys.

And shortly into it, while still appreciating Tezuka's mastery, it was clear to me that at our 10-year old boys do not need to read this now. Not for just needing more historical context, but there is a scene of a rape that is horrible to read (and of course infinitely more so to experience). I'm simpl

The bitter and often tragic conclusion to this series will leave you breathless, and really works with the tragic tone of this work.

it spins out of control (my opinion) at the end of this fine series, but that seems to happen a lot. it is hard to end a story.

The series ends with a real bang. All of the loose ends are tied up. This is by far the best volume in the series.
