This is a biography serves its purpose of portraying the life of Juárez without falling on either side of the debate that either makes him a legendary national hero or a traitor and fraud. At least it did as far as I read, because I couldn't be bothered to finish the book. Here’s why:

Because of the way it is written, this book almost crosses the line between a historic novel and a biography. This is a BIG problem regarding credibility for a book that intends to be the latter.
