This time Abby finds herself on the opposite side of the law, thanks in large part to Dutch's boss. The one who was revealed to have killed a CIA coworker 30 years before. With Dutch investigating him for the murder, he's doing everything in his power to tie up all the lose ends. Including Abby, the only one to know anything about the murder.

As any of you who have read my previous reviews of Laurie's books most likely know, I am not a huge fan of Dutch. He's far too overbearing and overprotectiv...more

Abby Cooper feels her life has been most fortunate especially of late. She makes a good living as a psychic who advises clients with what to do about their problems although she censors the darker messages from beyond. She enjoys working with her best friend Candice Fusco on private investigations in which her spirit guides enable her to help her partner. However, it is her love for former FBI Special Agent Dutch Rivers and his belief in her paranormal skills that make her feel euphoric.

Death Perception is the sixth book in the Psychic Eye series by Victoria Laurie.

As always, things don’t go as planned and before long, Dutch is missing too. Abby knows she only has a limited amount of time to find Dutch, or he will be dead. She enlists the help of her sister and her PI friend, Candice to find Dutch. As the plot thickens, it appea...more

All the players are back in this fast-paced, action-packed sixth book of the Psychic Eye series. Dutch's cousin has been kidnapped and he and Abby go to Las Vegas to help find him and bring him safely home to his wife and baby. Then Dutch goes missing and Abby and her friend Candice and sister Cat must find him before the evil FBI Agent Robillard does.

This book seemed to run from beginning to end, and though I found the ending a bit weak (because the author had to tie up all the loose ends and e...more

It took a while for Abby's FBI agent boyfriend, Dutch Rivers, to accept her psychic gifts as the real deal. But these days he knows better than to question Abby's visions. So when his cousin Chase is kidnapped after a bloody shoot-out in a Vegas alleyway, he agrees that her clairvoyant skills could be invaluable, and they both catch the next flight to Sin City. Abby's inner eye insists that Chase is still alive, but nothing else about the case adds up - especially Dutch's reluctance to involve t...more

The Abby Cooper Psychic Eye Mystery series is a lot of fun. I've been burning through these books at an alarming rate - about one a day - while recovering from a flu. I forget all about the pesky coughing when I'm reading Abby.

While I found the mystery in the first book too predictable, they became much more engaging for me after that. This one is my favourite, possibly due to my predisposition to love all things Las Vegas. There are lots of reviews that discuss plot, so instead I'll touch on st...more

I am soo enjoying this series by Victoria Lauria...Depth Perception has just become my favorite in the series! I truly enjoy the main character Abby Cooper, although at times she does seem a bit far fetched. How can one person constantly get into that much trouble?

This book totally changed that though. It was keeping me on the edge of my seat and kept me up late reading a couple times. I read this book faster than I have read any other books in the series. Yes, I did find the scene where she wo...more

Abby takes her psychic skills to Las Vegas in "Death Perception." Unfortunately, the trip is all work and no play for Abby who is accompanying her FBI boyfriend Dutch to Vegas to search for his cousin who has gone missing under mysterious circumstances. It was excellent to see Abby in new surroundings again, especially in the glitz and seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. Author Victoria Laurie continues to create dynamic characters who are growing and alive with backstory, especially highlighting Abb...more

This one was an interesting book. Sure, Abby and the others rely a little too much on strangers believing them (not to mention Abby's ability) and helping them through, but the mystery was rather gripping on a whole. And yes, there were parts that were, frankly, unbelievable, but I found myself inured to such things (probably used to the past books already) and just ignored them.

I liked the plot in this one. It was fast paced and exciting and held my attention really well. The end had a nice tw...more

What do you get when you add a quirky psychic, a hunky FBI agent, a visit to Vegas, a kidnapping, a corrupt agent, a dragon lady and a parade of interesting characters? An awesome book!

I could not put this book down. I devoured it! I sat down with it and completely forgot about everything. All I wanted to do was read.

I think this book just may be the best of the series. The characters were great (as usual), Dutch and Abby’s bickering was as amusing and kind hearted as ever, Candice’s spunk and f...more

Also enjoyed this book! I actually liked the way Cat's character & Candice's character were molded in this book. I feel a Candice spin off series coming...she certainly is an interesting character! I liked how this book clearly connected to the previous book, whereas I feel like most of the other books can be read singularly without knowledge from the previous books and the reader can still enjoy the book. However, I felt that this book heavily relied on events that unfolded in the previous...more

I loved this book the best out of all of the psychic eye books. It was very absorbing. This may be one of Laurie's best novels written, yet. It was enthralling with lots of action, suspense, tension, deception and great emotional intensity. It was very believable; I found myself angry when Abby was caught in a bad position, sad when she thought she lost Dutch and energized when they were trying to make their getaways while the bad guy was gaining on them. It was entertaining like a good action m...more

She is the worst psychic ever! She shows off in front of strangers by mentioning their kids' scholarships and uses her powers to tell a paying customer she is adopted, but she never senses when the FBI is nearby, or does not know when to keep her mouth shut in obviously dangerous situations (even non-psychics would sense that). Her sister is even more irritating and I would never believe the sister is a brilliant business woman. Candice the PI makes mistake after mistake with her Vegas 'connecti...more

Laurie is back on her stride. After my slightly less-impressed opinion of book 5 in the series, #6 totally returned to 5-star-land. Dutch and Abby go to Vegas to help find his missing cousin. The plot is at break-neck speed, full of interesting characters, humorous and terrifying situations, richly interwoven plots and sub-plots, including tying in a very big mystery that was introduced previously. As always, Abby's psychic ability is both a blessing and a curse, and ultimately saves the day. I...more

Didn't like this one as much as the previous books. Not sure why. Dutch wasn't in it enough? Not sure that was it, but really can't put my finger on what seemed wrong.

On the whole, totally enjoying this series. Can't wait to get the next books to read them. While Dutch and Abby are all too human, and get into communication spats that bug me a bit, I really like these characters and am invested in their relationship. Hope it continues to develop. I think they are meant for each other; even thoug...more

Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. This couldn't be more true for Abby and Dutch who find themselves looking for Dutch's cousin Chase who seems to have disappeared. Abby learns alot about her boyfriend when he goes missing during the investigation into Chase. Abby calls in unlikely sources to assist her Candice and her sister Cat. They meet some unlikely sources to help them find Dutch and Chase. This book had me wondering if a main character was going to die with all of Abby's crew showi...more

this book was good, but something was ...... lacking. The plot was confusing at times, and I think there were just too many characters involved here.

Dutch and Abby go to Las Vegas in search of his abducted cousin, Chase (and Chases' business associate) When Dutch goes missing, Abby pulls her resources and her friends to find Dutch and solve the mystery. However things get dangerous when the FBI start hunting her down! With a lot of undercover interviews, a bit of gambling and a little luck, Abb...more

Very lightweight but actually quite fun to read and fast moving. An unexpected ending and entertaining characters. I like the novelty of the main character being a psychic who has intuitive help from the other side. However, the fact that the messages they send are not easy to decipher adds fun flavor to the story.
Basic plot: Abby is trying to find her FBI agency boyfriend who is close to death, according to her spirit guides, while at the same time being chased by the police through glitterin...more

In Death Perception, Abby and Dutch head to Vegas after learning that his cousin, who is like a brother to him, has been kidnapped. In the process of searching for Chase, Dutch goes missing. Abby's partner, Candice and her sister, Cat join her as she desperately tries to solve these mysteries. Having lived in Vegas, Candice has a contact for everything. With her know how and street smarts and Cat's unlimited funds, these three are unstoppable.

It was great seeing more of Candice and Cat's always...more

My enjoyment of this series has been kicked back into high gear with this installment. Dutch and Abby head to Las Vegas after his cousin and the man he was working for are kidnapped. Upon arriving in Vegas, the clues seem to lead to more than they originally thought.

All of a sudden, Dutch disappears without trace and Abby suspects time is running out for him. To make matters worse, the FBI and local authorities think Dutch is somehow involved in the kidnappings. When they turn up the heat on Ab...more

Psychic Abby Cooper is just starting to build up her business again when her boyfriend, FBI agent Dutch Rivers, asks her to go to Las Vegas with him. His cousin Chase has been kidnapped after a bloody shoot out and Dutch is desperate to find him without involving the FBI. Dutch has his reasons for not involving the FBI – some of which Abby is aware of and some she knows nothing about. On top of everything else, Abby is worried when Dutch is struck by a mysterious illness. Soon Abby is in over he...more

This is my favorite from the series so far -- the case is a continuation from the last book and Ms. Laurie brings Abby and the gang (Candice and Cat) to Las Vegas. Ducking criminals with hilarious tricks (thanks to Candice, who happened to be a Vegas resident when she was younger) while trying to figure out what happened with Dutch (who went missing) and his cousin (who went kidnapped). Really GREAT reading. Can't wait to see what other adventure Abby and the gang will have in the next book

This a great series! Abby Cooper is a good at heart girl at heart who means well but does dumb things. She has crazy characters in her life (including the dog) that give her the run around and direct her like she’s not capable & yet she handles it all. Each book progresses form where the last left off but even if you miss one, you can still catch up pretty quickly. They are easy, relaxing, funny & entertaining light reading. No heavy lifting required here.

Abby Cooper is back, in this sixth installment in the Abby Cooper Psychic series. This time she's in Vegas with her boyfriend Dutch, trying to find Dutch's cousin Chase. this book literally had me on the edge of my seat for most of it. It was nonstop action but not with out some laugh-out-loud humor when her sister Cat meet sup with some African American men at a bus stop and tries to "talk their language". I definitely would recommend this book.

Physcic Abby and her boyfriend Dutch go to Las Vegas ti find Dutchs kidnapped cousin Chase, who is more like a brother. Theres a lot of twists, turns, betrayals, etc. But heres the short story: Chase was having an affair with a stripper named Misty (aka Jane Doe). Chase killed Degaldo and almost killed Dutch. In the end Chase was shot to death by Agent Robillard and Robillard shot to death by Nora.
Was funny, dramatic, and captivating. Loved it!
