"Braunbuch" is written in German and it was originally published in East Germany in 1968 as an expose documenting the former Nazis and war criminals serving in the West Germany government and military in leadership positions. Its full title translated is "Brown Book: War and Nazi Criminals in the German Federal Republic and West Germany" with the brown coming from the term for Nazis and later, extreme right wing parties.
