Really 4.5 stars!!
Dakota Cassidy is back with the 2nd book in her 'Accidentally' series, "Accidentally Dead". The same three heroines from her first book "The Accidental Werewolf" are back and this time it's nasty-tempered Nina's turn. After deciding selling makeup just wasn't her thing, Nina went to school and became a dental hygenist. Her first day on the job, one of the patients has a bad reaction to the anesthetic and BITES her. Two days later she wakes up with some...more

Well this is what I get for choosing a book by its cover. It sounded funny--dental hygenist bite by vampire while cleaning teeth--hyginks ensue. UGH it is a second in a series and the charater is just so flat. The author tries to add interest to her back story--but too little too late. I was just looking for a nice quick read chick lit book. And at chapter ten--too late to turn back--the book turned into full blown erotica to my horor. UGH I do not want to ever read the word "cock"...more

Kudos for Cassidy for having a kick butt heroine. Too bad she's so kick butt she's obnoxious. Surprisingly this book is better than a lot of the paranormal romances out there. However, Cassidy really drove me into the ground with all the swearing. Swearing is okay in a book I'm reading...when it's natural. Nina's potty was not natural. Furthermore I felt like I'd been spoon fed her tragic past. It was a good effort but needed some tweaking...I mean for Pete's sake, how many times is the color wh...more

Got off to a rough start for me but that, I think, was intended from the author. The more I read into the book the more understanding I was with why the protagonist acted the way she did. Even though I was annoyed in the beginning, I couldn't put the book down. It was hilarious, irritating, and sexy as hell in one sitting! I would recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers.

this was a pretty good book, but not as good as undead and unwed. i think it was a little too long and drawn out with inner monologues. the dialog is really entertaining and witty. sex scenes could have been better.

Got through about five pages of this before I had to return it to B&N, where I had bought it 25 minutes before.
Needless to say, Bloodsucking Fiends by Christopher Moore is the better accidental vampire novel.
