Nicholas Perricone, M.D. is known for his young living approach through life and body changing programs that will extend our lives. He is a healer for sure. I refer to this book often.
Some really great information about how the body ages and steps to prevent those changes, but some of the steps involve a lot of expensive products so this is not a book you can really just try. HOWEVER, I found that the recipes included in the book are really yummy and healthy and is worth checking out of the library to try.
Love his philosophies on nutrition and beauty but would not recommend his skin care or supplement line :-)
Dr. Perricone lists 10 super foods we should include in our diet daily. #1 is the acai berry. Its also the #1 ingredient in this amazing super juice I've been drinking called MONAVIE. I love this stuff so much I became a distributor last month! It gives has given me tons of energy like you wouldnt believe. Helps with aches and pains (I ran my first 10k on Saturday) and its all natural! Ask me for details.

I'm kind of ambivalent about this one. On the one hand, if you follow the nutrition protocols, you ought to be immortal (or at least disease-free). On the other, you're expected to use Dr. Perricone's ointments, available mostly from him for around $90 or so. I'm thinking you could probably get equal results from Vitamin A, E, or C based ointments.

anyone looking for healthy recipes
The recipes in the back make it worth it, plus I bought it at the dollar store, he, he! I now make buckwheat hot cereal for breakfast occasionaly and have also made the Lentil and Turkey Sausage Soup, Salmon teriyaki, and barley as a side dish. I'd be happy to share if you'd like to borrow it!
Some of this you could definitely gloss over and ignore without any loss. There was some interesting information on different antioxidants, health foods, and inflammation (with some actual scientific basis). The book also included some recipes which I have yet to try.
I am reading from my bookshelves this summer. I am trying to get my diet under control so this was a no brainer. Mr. Perricone has done a lot of research. This is more of an encyclopedia than a prescription. I think I will keep it.
I've heard great things about this book! I'lllet you know what I think!
