I stumbled upon this book at the library and checked it out. I have a newer model of the Canon Rebel camera but this book is SO much more helpful in explaining those menu icons I never quite understood than my camera manual illustrates. It has been a quick study but has really helped me with issues of RAW vs. JPEG questions, pixel count for emailing, and other beginner topics I haven't had a chance to research. SOO glad I grabbed this book. I'm not a dummy anymore!

It's a great camera, but if you're new to Digital Photography, as i am, the EOS Rebel XS/1000 might be just a bit intimidating. This book comes to the rescue with plain-English explanations of all the controls and menus, easy techniques to help you solve common picture problems, and plenty of advice to give you the confidence you need to start shooting fantastic photos.
