My love of reading started when i was young, and it gives me immense pleasure to provide books to Spread the Word Nevada, an organization that passes them on to children in the community. They are a terrific organization supporting an important cause. If your local I encourage you to check them out. Bambi Grows Up is exactly what the title would lead you to believe; it is an extension of the beloved story of the baby deer, Bambi. This story includes all of the characters from the movie and shows their adventures as they grow up in the forest. I'm in my basement re-reading my favorite childhood books. I'm such a Disney fan even now; with that being said, I can see the art isn't really that well done, and they didn't include the death of Bambi's mother. He just grows up and she's just gone. My two-year-old daughter and my husband read this book together every night. It's best for kids around 2 and up.
