Damien Wynter was as handsome and arrogant as sin. Heiress Charlotte didn't need his dark, primitive sensuality in her life, until the man she'd planned to marry disappointed her, and Damien offered a challenge: let "him" wed her and get her pregnant! It was all about winning to Damien, but Charlotte wanted a baby, and if surrendering to him meant she could win, too... why ...more

I had all sorts of mixed feelings reading this book. I can't say I really liked the characters. Well, actually, I mostly didn't like Charlotte. Damien was okay. I kind of liked him and his passion, his being caring, and even his determination, although also scary. But it was clear he felt for Charlotte something special, shared with her a special bond he was ready to admit, while she wasn't eve capable of realize. Charlotte was too cold for my likes. And more than half of the book was rather col ...more

Have to agree that despite the sexual heat between these two, the relationship is very cold. Damien decides that she's the one and manipulates and challenges her into doubting her fiance (who turns out to be an ass anyway) and then marrying him. I could not forgive his "ends justifies the means" attitude - even if she did eventually find happiness with him. (view spoiler) ...more

Charlotte is engaged to marry Mark, even though everyone in her family thinks he's a fortune-hunter. When they're proved right, Charlotte is both heartbroken and humiliated - until her brother's friend Damien offers to marry her to spare her from the negative publicity.

I found the premise of this utterly ludicrous. Marrying someone to keep your pride intact, really? I can't imagine that a break-up, even a high-profile one, would hurt a heiress' image too badly. Maybe it's different in Australia,

Great

A really great book. I love how Damien was committed to her from the moment he met her. I also love how you kept the main characters in the story together and monogamous throughout the whole book. It is a very hard thing to pull off because most authors don't know how to do it but you did it beautifully. This was the first book I ever read from you and I will definitely be reading more of your books and will be adding you to my list of favorites if the rest of your books are as compelling a

A fairly different HP. Hero sees heroine and immediately sets out to get her even though she is engaged to another man. Hero is not an ass just sure that the heroine is his soul mate. We have POV from both H and h so we see him all along chasing her as hard as he can. Pretty well written, plot made sense and flowed nicely. There wasn't a big breakup just before the end which as different and another odd thing:(view spoiler) ...more

I really enjoyed this story. Although it seems a little bit unrealistic that the hero knows straight away the heroine is the woman of his life, I loved to see how the hero trying his best to pursue the heroine. I also liked being able to see some of the hero's POV and there is no doubt that he loves the heroine very much. The heroine also seemed intelligent and mature enough in her actions and speech. And their HEA was believable and well deserved at the end.

Enjoyable read but a little farfetched storyline to my liking. While Damien and Charlotte were much better suited than her and Mark she jumped from one fiance to another without batting an eye. Liked Damien's patience no matter how trying Charlotte was.

hero in pursuit-I wish book was completely in hero's POV. first half is 5 stars then it goes a bit down but still excellent and quick read.
