Not very good illustrations...

Daisy the cow is bored on the farm with all of the other cows. She longs for adventure! So she sets out for the big city. Finding herself in the "big city" (what is actually a very small town) she heads towards a building displaying a sign. The sign is an advert for a fire department mascot. She meets most of the requirements: she's looking for excitement, willing to work long hours in danger and she wants to save lives. A story of the cow who wishes for fun and adventures, so she becomes a fire station mascot. ~yawn~ Boring story. Boring illustrations.
Anne
It's a cute enough story but the illustrations aren't very vibrant or clear.

The sign on the firehouse stated that the fire company was looking for a mascot. Daisy fits nearly fits the bill, she even has black spots! Except...Daisy is not a dalmation, she is a cow.

The fire chief grumbles, but no one else has applied. When a Daisy saves a calf from a burning barn, the fire chief finally accepts Daisy as a member of the group.

A great book for children to see that just because they are not exactly what is needed, they still have a lot to offer. You should always give something/someone the benefit of the doubt and they may be just what you need
