He was the kind of man her mama warned her about, workaday rancher Sophie B. Jones realized, as she looked up to find Sinclair Riker's unrelenting gaze on her. But resisting him was not an option, for though his words hinted at the darkness of his soul, his eyes spoke another message altogether - one that Sophie could not help but answer...

I couldn't grasp the characters in the book. At first Sophie came off as a bossy, self centered woman. Yes, she was kind hearted to everyone, but she just kept pushing Sinclair about one thing or another. Where Sinclair, for being this hard pushing, relentless man who only wants Sophie off his land so he can build a new home and start a ranch on his families old homestead, seemed mousy and a push over. Not until towards the end of the book did the characters turn over to the people, I think, ...more

Overall not a bad story, but it's quite predictable. The heroine is exactly the type of heroine I despise..the overly sweet, innocent woman who only sees the good in everyone even when their darkest secrets are revealed. The hero is your typical rich, tall, dark and handsome man with a wild past. She of course turns him around from his sinful ways. Oh and his name is Sin...short for Sinclair.

Cute, at first I thought there was way too much dialogue, but then I got sucked into the story and had to see how it ended. The ending was quite short and I would have liked to see more of how they worked it out.
Sophie is innocent young lady who believes the good in everyone, enters Sinclair riker who under pretense befriends her without telling her he has come to reclaim the property she now's uses as her theater. The fast love is a bit unbelievable on sophies part but still an okay read.

For a harlequin romance, the story was ok but it was a cookie cutter harlequin. It really wasn't believable.

I really liked the characters and setting and the love scenes were um, very descriptive. Kept me interested, a quick read.
