This book is part of Millbrook Press’ On My Own: Holidays collection. The book simplifies the historical story of Moses leading the Jewish people out of slavery and describes how contemporary Jewish families celebrate Passover. Most of the detail explains the traditional seder meal. It is a good introduction to the holiday. Although it is written as an easy reader, the text and vocabulary are complex and would be appropriate as an independent read for an instructional reader. It would also work ...more
