Recommends it for: People interested in the history of the USA
Da ich im Rheintal aufgewachsen bin, fand ich es sehr interessant, die Gegend einmal aus den Augen eines Reisenden zu sehen.

Jeffersons Tagebucheinträge sind detailliert (besonders was den Anbau von Weinreben und die Herstellung von Wein angeht). Der historische Hintergund wird vom Kommentator erklärt und wenn man sich für die Anfänge der USA interessiert, bietet das Buch einen guten Einblick in die Planung, die in dieses Unterfangen floss.

Trotzdem hat das Buch keinen bleibenden Eindruck bei mir
