I really like this series. Teen mysteries have always been around, but often with mysteries which are just too difficult to believe. These are not about spies or elaborate murder mysteries, just simple, low-key crimes that a teen might stumble across. Well, maybe not so simple in this case, with a victim or a culprit dropping dead at her feet, leaving no clue as to which he is.

have I mentioned how much I love Sammy? I do. This is book 12 in the series and so far there has only been one that I didn't love. That's not common in series that go on for more than a few books.
However, this book mostly got me excited for the next one because of all the loose elements at the end - what will happen with Lady Lana and Mr. Acosta? and between Sammy and Casey? how will Heather treat Sammy now (though I'm sure it's safe to assume awful)?
Fabulous. If you have More...

I started reading Sammy Keyes books when I was in the fourth grade. By now I find the writing a little simple. There are still many ironic lines that I enjoy in Wendelin Van Draanen's writing style and this book has many.
I liked this new Sammy Keyes. I always enjoy how the plot speeds up at the end so that the mystery clicks for Sammy before I understand what happened and why. Which is part of why I initially liked the series. Unlike other mysteries I hadn't figured out the mystery More...

do you guys know how amazing sammy keyes is? kay. she is this crazy teenage girl that illegally lives with her grandmother. but thats not the story. the stories are about all these insane mysteries that she solves. sammy keyes is so funny. when i read these books i laugh out loud and people sip their coffee and look at me wondering of theyll remember the number for the local asylum. this ones about moneyyyy. haha so descriptive.

In her 12th book, Sammy scares a man, literally to death, on the firescape of her grandma's high rise. Before he dies, he tells her to get rid of the bundles of cash he has in hand. As a girl that never has any money, she can't resist to get rid of the money by spending it which of course is the first big mistake in this crazy, funny series.

I don't know what's the matter with me, but I love Sammy Keyes! I just wish I could get more of the kids at school to follow the adventures of this spunky pre-teen/teen girl and enjoy a good mystery, a hint of romance, and a cast of kooky characters, not to mention a subtile undercurrent of some great values.

Another 3-1/2 stars. I love Sammy Keyes! I love the series. I just wish I could read them in the order they were written, but when I relay on the library, it's not gonna happen. I loved this book. I don't want to give any giveaways but towards the ending of this story, I was cracking up laughing so hard of what happened.

Although I loved the plot and I LOVE the series, I read it for the Casey. Gotta love him. And I absolutely hated the awkwardness between Sammy and Casey! I don't want awkwardness- I want romance!

Exciting!! I absolutely loved the fact that Sammy's neighbor was so old and fat, that she fell off the toilet all the time!! Hilarious, that the fire department has to come to rescue her.

This is a classic children's mystery novel. It is set in modern day suburbia and includes lots of humor that 10-14 year olds would love. Entertaining and easy reading.

It is impossible not to love Sammy Keyes. She truly makes the best of situations & learns valuable lessons from her mistakes, but not in a forced, cheesy after-school-special kind of way. This particular book raises a lot of interesting questions about the nature of money - having it, not having it, & what you'll do to get or keep it.

Love Sammy Keyes books and how unique they all are. The author, van Draanen is great, too, and such an awesome storyteller. You even feel the itch that Sammy feels when she's lying and the story does well at tying in multiple things going on - her life with boys, her friend's problems, and the mystery.

I adore Sammy and her exploits. But I truly wonder about finding a guy like Casey in junior high.
