So it’s pretty clear what Akira Toriyama’s doing at this point: recycling the hits. And, to be fair, it actually works! And, of course, it’s his series, his characters, he can do whatever the hell he wants.

Cell is essentially Freeza, what with his many transformations unlocking higher levels of power, not to mention his lizard-like appearance. And then Toriyama goes back even deeper into the well (is that a thing?), by reviving the classic Strongest Under the Heavens tournament from the origina

I learned that power is not only about transformation, but smart thinking as well.
The beginning of the Cell Games. Goku and Gohan have some tricks up their sleeves, even if Gohan doesn't know it. I like the calm and content nature Goku exhibits, it stays true to his character from Dragon Ball. Th power ups exhibited by Trunks and Goku we quite cool to see. I really enjoyed the origin story of future Trunks. A great addition to the Cell Arc.
Good volume. The warriors spend this volume training to stand a chance against Cell, who has decided to give Earth ten days to produce a fighter who can beat him.

This was a really interesting book because it's all about action. The conflict between Super Sayians and Alien creatures to save the EArth. THere's never ending actions one after another. In order to save the earth, they must fight these monsters. Goku believes Gohan can defeat Cell but piccilo isnt 100% sure Gohan would destroy Cell.
I would recommend this book to manga actionn lovers. If you really enjoy action and the conflict this is the perfect book for you. THe conflict just builds up and i
It's really sad to see an artist be pressured to produce when they've lost interest.

Akira Toriyama is a widely known and acclaimed Japanese manga artist known mostly for his creation of Dragon Ball in 1984. It is difficult to pin point the source of Toriyama's artwork inspiration. He admires Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy and was impressed by Walt Disney's One Hundred and One Dalmatians, which he remembers for the great art. Jackie Chan's early movies had a noticeable influence on Tori ...more
